Incoloy 800 Series (High-Temp Stability) – Exotic Metals LLP
This series is the industry standard for equipment that
must retain its structural integrity during prolonged exposure to high temperatures.
It is available in three distinct refinements:
Incoloy 800 Series
- Incoloy 800 (N08800): The general-purpose grade for service up to 600°C
- Incoloy 800H (N08810): Controlled carbon (0.05–0.10%) and solution annealing for
better creep and rupture strength above 600°C
- Incoloy 800HT (N08811): Further restricted Al + Ti content (0.85–1.20%) for maximum
performance in extreme heat (up to 925°C)

Incoloy 825 (Aqueous Corrosion Specialist)
Incoloy 825 (UNS N08825) is a "workhorse" alloy for
chemical processing. The addition of Copper and Molybdenum makes it exceptionally
resistant to reducing acids, particularly sulfuric and phosphoric acids.
Typical Applications
- Oil & Gas: Downhole tubing, well-head components, and offshore piping
- Chemical: Pickling tank heaters, agitators, and acid production systems
- Marine: Propeller shafts and seawater-cooled heat exchangers
Incoloy 925 (High-Strength Oilfield Grade)
Incoloy 925 (UNS N09925) is essentially an age-hardenable
version of 825. It maintains the same level of corrosion resistance but adds
Titanium and Aluminum to allow for precipitation hardening.
Key Advantages
- Strength Advantage: It provides up to 3–4 times the yield strength of Incoloy 825
- Sour Service: Fully approved for NACE MR0175 for use in "sour" (H₂S-containing) oil
and gas wells
- Common Products: High-strength fasteners, tool joints, and valve stems
