Hastelloy C276 (The Universal Corrosion Resistant Alloy) – Exotic Metals LLP

Hastelloy C276 is a premier nickel-molybdenum-chromium superalloy with an addition of tungsten, designed to offer unsurpassed corrosion resistance in a massive range of severe environments. It is one of the few materials capable of withstanding the corrosive effects of wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide. At Exotic Metals LLP, we supply C276 for critical applications in chemical processing and waste treatment where failure is not an option.

Hastelloy C22 (Versatile Ni-Cr-Mo-W Alloy)

Alloy C22 is a "super-alloy" designed to provide better overall corrosion resistance than C276, C4, and Alloy 625. It excels in protecting against pitting and crevice corrosion in oxidizing acid environments. Its high chromium content makes it significantly more resistant to oxidizing media than the C276 grade, making it the preferred choice for pharmaceutical and biotech reactors.

Hastelloy C4 (Thermal Stability Specialist)

Hastelloy C4 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with outstanding high-temperature stability. Unlike other grades, C4 resists the formation of grain-boundary precipitates in the weld-heat-affected zone. This makes it exceptionally reliable for chemical process applications in the "as-welded" state, particularly where high temperatures are encountered in acidic environments.

Hastelloy B2 & B3 (Hydrochloric Acid Experts)

Alloy B2 is specifically designed for handling hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures. Alloy B3 is the next generation, offering the same chemistry as B2 but with significantly improved thermal stability, making fabrication (welding/forming) much easier without the risk of cracking.

Product Range

  1. B2: Focus on heavy plates and large diameter forged bars for acid tanks
  2. B3: Focus on seamless pipes, capillary tubes, and fasteners (studs/nuts) for chemical injection lines

Hastelloy C2000 (The Universal Alloy)

C2000 was developed to solve the "reducing vs. oxidizing" dilemma. By adding 1.6% copper to the Ni-Cr-Mo system, this alloy provides extreme resistance to sulfuric acid (reducing) while the high chromium provides resistance to oxidizing media. It is the most adaptable alloy in the Exotic Metals LLP inventory.

Product Types

  1. Pipes: Square and rectangular pipes for specialized structural frames
  2. Accessories: Gaskets, flanges, and custom-machined fittings
  3. Mechanical: Tensile 690 MPa; elongation 45%

Hastelloy G3 / G30 (Phosphoric Acid Specialists)

Alloy G30 is a high-chromium nickel-base alloy which provides superior corrosion resistance to "wet process" phosphoric acid. G3 is the predecessor, often used in flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems and for handling nuclear fuel waste.

Features & Sizes

  1. G30: Exceptional resistance to nitric and hydrofluoric acids
  2. Products: Wire mesh, strips, and wide plates (up to 2000 mm width)

Hastelloy X (High-Temperature Oxidation Resistance)

Unlike the "C" series, Hastelloy X is a high-temperature alloy. It possesses exceptional strength and oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 1200°C (2200°F). It is widely used in gas turbine engines, transition ducts, and furnace rolls.

Product Types

  1. Aero-Industrial: Precision strips, sheets, and forged fittings for high-heat zones
  2. Mechanical: Excellent creep-rupture strength
