Hastelloy B2 is a nickel–molybdenum alloy specially developed for exceptional resistance to reducing environments, particularly hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures. Unlike chromium-bearing Hastelloy grades, B2 is optimized for non-oxidizing conditions, offering outstanding resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and crevice attack. Its controlled chemistry ensures excellent ductility and reliable performance in highly aggressive chemical processing systems.
