Flanges

Flanges Manufacturer, Stockist & Exporter in India – Exotic Metals LLP

Introduction: The Critical Link in Piping Integrity

At Exotic Metals LLP our Flanges are the essential components that provide the strength and versatility required for high-pressure piping systems. A flange is a forged or cast ring of metal designed to connect sections of pipe, valves, pumps, and other equipment to create a continuous pipeline. Unlike a permanent welded joint, a flanged connection allows for easy inspection, cleaning, and modification of the system without cutting the pipe.

Flanges Manufacturer & Supplier in India

As a premier manufacturer and exporter in India, Exotic Metals LLP ensures that every flange is produced with a focus on structural homogeneity and sealing face precision. Our flanges are engineered to meet stringent international standards for pressure-temperature ratings, ensuring they maintain a leak-proof seal even under extreme thermal cycling and corrosive attack. Whether you are building a subsea pipeline, a chemical reactor, or a high-temperature steam line, our flanges provide the safety and reliability that global industrial projects demand.

Flange Face Finishes

At Exotic Metals LLP, the sealing surface is our priority. We offer:

  1. Stock Finish: A continuous spiral groove, suitable for use with various gasket types.
  2. Spiral Serrated: 12 to 55 grooves per inch, creating a high-friction surface for better gasket seating.
  3. Concentric Serrated: Ideal for applications involving very low-density gases where a spiral path might allow leakage.
  4. Smooth Finish: Typically used with metal-to-metal seals or flat gaskets in low-pressure service.

Delivery & Packaging Information

At Exotic Metals LLP, we recognize that even a small scratch on the flange face can cause a catastrophic leak. Our packaging is designed for maximum security:

  1. Face Protection: Every flange face is coated with a thick layer of anti-rust oil and covered with a high-impact plastic or plywood protector.
  2. Secure Crating: Flanges are packed in seaworthy, heat-treated wooden crates (ISPM-15 compliant) with internal dividers to prevent metal-to-metal contact during transit.
  3. Corrosion Shield: For carbon steel grades, we provide black bitumen painting or yellow varnish. Stainless and nickel alloy flanges are wrapped in VCI plastic.
  4. Traceability: Every flange is hard-stamped with the Heat Number, Size, Rating, Grade.
  5. Documentation: Each shipment is accompanied by a Mill Test Certificate (MTC) as per EN 10204 3.1, along with NDT reports (Ultrasonic, Dye Penetrant) and dimensional inspection reports.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the difference between ASME B16.5 and B16.47?

ASME B16.5 covers flanges from 1/2" up to 24". For larger pipelines, ASME B16.47 provides standards for flanges from 26" up to 60".

Why use a Ring Type Joint (RTJ) face?

RTJ faces utilize a metallic ring gasket that fits into a machined groove. They are designed for high-pressure and high-temperature service (Class 600 and above) where a mechanical seal is required to prevent "blowouts."

Can Exotic Metals LLP provide custom "Long Weld Neck" (LWN) flanges?

Yes. LWN flanges feature a longer hub and are often used as nozzles on pressure vessels and storage tanks. We can manufacture these to custom lengths based on your engineering drawings.

Do you provide "Spectacle Blinds" and "Orifice Flanges"?

Absolutely. We provide specialized piping components including Spectacle Blinds (for isolating sections) and Orifice Flanges (for flow measurement) in all major alloy grades.
